My behaviour was unacceptable and I\u2019m here whenever you\u2019re ready to talk,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>He then extended his apologies to Rock\u2019s mother, Rose, and his younger brother, Tony.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with\u00a0NBC affiliate station WIS of Columbia, South Carolina, in April,\u00a0Rose Rock appeared to blast Smith,\u00a0saying in part: \u201cWhen he slapped Chris, he slapped all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tony Rock starred in the 2007 UPN sitcom \u201cAll of Us,\u201d which was co-created by Smith. \u201cWe had a great relationship,\u201d Smith said in the video. \u201cTony Rock was my man and this is probably irreparable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Smith\u00a0previously apologized to Rock in a written statement\u00a0days after the 94th Academy Awards ceremony, saying in part that he was \u201cout of line\u201d and \u201cembarrassed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Smith slapped Rock across the face after the comedian made a joke about the actor\u2019s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Rock, presenting the Oscar for best documentary feature, had said he was excited to watch Pinkett Smith in \u201cG.I. Jane 2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Pinkett Smith revealed she was\u00a0diagnosed with alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss. Ridley Scott\u2019s action film \u201cG.I. Jane\u201d (1997) starred Demi Moore as a woman who joins the Navy and shaves her head during her military service.<\/p>\n<p>Smith then marched on to the stage at the Dolby Theatre and hit Rock.
