But it was such a moment of solidarity and we do that in Chicago too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it was me relating that back to experiences that I had in Chicago and just feeling safe. That was one of the craziest things I have ever seen in my life,\u201d Chance The Rapper narrated.<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"vX4Y8--h9go\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"A Mad Culture, EP One: Chance The Rapper &amp; Vic Mensa talk about Ghana &amp; the Black Star Line Festival\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vX4Y8--h9go?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The rapper and his friend Vic Mensa to make the best out of their experiences in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Vic Mensa noted that he has always advocated for people to visit Africa because many of the countries beat those stereotypes people have attacked the continent for years.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure African Americans learn more about the continent they returned to Ghana in July with about eight high school freshmen from Chicago in the US after spending time in the country in January 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Their stay was part of an educational travel experience they promised to offer anyone who joined them in the subsequent trips to Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to Instagram, Vic Mensa noted that \u201ca year ago we had the idea to take a group of kids from Chicago to Ghana. There are some things about yourself that you can only understand by knowing where you come from.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The musician added that \u201cOur dream is to build bridges that cross the ocean of divide created by the transatlantic slave trade.
