Others joined Victoria Michaels to cut anniversary cake<\/strong><\/p>\n Fashion Connect Africa (FCA) as part of its second anniversary held a thanksgiving and cake cutting ceremony at its garment factory in Accra on Wednesday.<\/p>\n This follows an ongoing series of activities to appreciate those who have supported the organisation since its inception.<\/p>\n The major fashion brand will also be extending a helping hand to deprived communities and gift tools to some talented but resource-challenged creatives in Ghana.<\/p>\n The FCA is an emerging social enterprise established to change lives in the creative space and beyond.\u00a0It\u00a0was first outdoored in 2019 and had in the past two years impacted society, including creating jobs and empowering creatives across Africa.<\/p>\n Speaking at the anniversary celebration event, the CEO of the FCA and international model, Victoria Michaels, indicated that the anniversary presents an opportunity to revisit and relive the organisation\u2019s contributions to the industry.<\/p>\n \u201cIt hasn\u2019t been smooth all along but we are happy that despite all the topsy-turvy, we made lemonade out of lemons,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n According to her, FCA has focused on a three-way initiative \u2013 mainly the FCA Garment Factory, the FCA Creative Development Hub and the FCA Fashion Week.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the FCA garment factory, we make all sorts of industrial garments which include security uniforms, corporate wears, protective gears, school uniforms and so on.<\/p>\n \u201cThe FCA Creative Development Hub, just 800 meters from here has seen the training of 100 creatives, especially women and still counting. We have positioned the institute to focus on garment making, cosmetology and IT programs.<\/p>\n \u201cThe FCA Fashion Week held its second outing a few months ago and was celebrated as one of the most outstanding shows in Africa. Together with our partners, we are determined to continue in our quest to provide global platforms for creatives in the continent,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n The organisation is now looking forward to another adventurous and productive year.
