a radio host from Accra-based Hitz FM questioned why Joe Mettle was absent from this year\u2019s Ghana National Gospel  Awards, the artist revealed the truth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYe Obua Mi\u201d hitmaker who has had a great year in the music industry justified his exclusion from the candidates\u2019 list through a tweet later on.<\/p>\n<p>A note from him said, \u201cYes sir, I asked to be excluded from consideration for the awards this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31178\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31178\" style=\"width: 909px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img FAQ is whether the exemption is limited to the Ghana National Gospel  Awards or whether it may be extended to other award schemes in the nation like the VGMAs.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s more likely that Mettle will take a year off from the country\u2019s major award shows to concentrate on his music career and other endeavours, and that he will return stronger the following year to win more
