\n Accra, July 25, GNA- The 2022 mid-year review budget statement and economic policy presentation is underway in Parliament.<\/p>\n

Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, the Minister of Finance, at about 1345 hours entered the House for the presentation, which includes supplementary estimates of government.<\/div>\n
In accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), the Minister for Finance is expected to present the Mid-Year Review Budget to Parliament not later than 31st July of each financial year.<\/div>\n
The presentation will provide the economic and fiscal performance of the economy for the first half of 2022, as well as provide update on the implementation of key programmes, including strategies by government to create employment for Ghanaians in general and the youth in particular.<\/div>\n
The Mid-Year Review will also highlight the status of the implementation of the Ghana CARES \u201cObaatanpa\u201d Programme that seeks to revitalise and transform the economy to pre – pandemic times.<\/div>\n
The review is also expected to focus on revenue, expenditure, and financing performance for the first half of 2022 and provide an overview of the implementation of the 2022 Budget.<\/div>\n
The Mid-Year Review will touch on the assurance of government on securing funds and effective domestic revenue mobilisation initiatives.<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
