Lydia Forson in a tweet reacted to the reason why Black Sherif was absent from this year\u2019s Ghana Party In The Park. According to her, if the organizers do not have the means to pay artist Black Sherif, they can move to the next artist they can afford.<\/p>\n
Black Sherif was absent at this year\u2019s Ghana Party in the Park after his name was added to the artists who were supposed to perform. The PRO for the Vodafone Ghana Award, Robert Klah in an interview on Hitz FM came out to disclose that the timing was not right the team of Black Sherif.<\/p>\n
However, an insider at Hitz FM has disclosed that the artist did not perform because of the huge amount of money he charged.<\/p>\n
\u201cAccording to an anonymous source [a member of the Akwaaba UK group], the group proposed an amount of \u00a310,000 (GHS 97,786) as Black Sherif\u2019s performance fee for the Ghana Party in the Park event. However, Blacko\u2019s team was demanding \u00a350,000 (GHS 489,387)<\/em>,\u201d a tweet by Hitz FM said.<\/p>\n The allegation has since sparked a debate on social media. \u201cBlacko Sherif\u2019s managers are gon ruin his career real soon. Charging \u00a350,000 (GHC489K) for a show cos of three hit songs is very very absurd. He\u2019s not worth it. He\u2019s gon beg to be paid GHC20K when the fame dies.
