Talking about his personal life, the current best VGMA music writer shared with the listeners how he has struggled to reach the top. He told the presenter, “I used to collect garbage from houses so I can earn a living. I have fetched water for cell inmates to flash their latrine.” He added,” When I was doing rap music, there were certain times I will go for the interview and when my music is being played for me to sing along, I forget my lyrics. I don’t know if it was a spiritual matter.”<\/p>\n
About his achievements, Fameye shared how he became happy when he bought a per of shoes worth \u00a3200. ” During my second trip to Germany, I bought a shoe which costs \u00a3200 and I was so happy because when I recall where I’m coming from, Bogoso, and where I am today, I give thanks to the highest God.” Adding to the above, he said, “When I returned to Ghana with the shoe, I wore it and never took picture of it because I didn’t want people to see I was repeating the same shoe. When I see my friends, I just tell them the price of the shoe without them asking.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fameye won best music writer at the just-ended VGMA. He has released an album titled ‘Son of Peter’.<\/p>\n
