Nana Obiri Boahen is a Ghanaian Politician and Lawyer. He was born on June 24, 1960 at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Boahen attended Sunyani Senior High School and studied law at the University of Ghana and later at the Ghana Law School in Accra. He is active in the International Bar Association as well as in Amnesty International.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the delegates of the New Patriotic Party boosted out the party’s General Secretary. During the election, John Boadu who was the General Secretary of the NPP government lost his position to John Kodua after the election. In the NPP, the Deputy General Secretary\u2019s role is by appointment and that is done by the General Secretary himself.<\/p>\n

With John Boadu losing to Justin Kodua, there is certainty that the Deputy General Secretary role will have to change hands since Koduah will have to appoint someone he can trust to support his agenda. Just this morning, Nana Obiri Boahen has lost his position in the NPP government.<\/p>\n
