I was happy when I chanced on the news that a Ghanaian has been sold for an amount of 1 million dollars.<\/p>\n

WAFA Centre-Back Henry Oware, (18), was scouted by over 12 European clubs. Finally off to complete his move to Troyes in French Ligue 1. He is originally to be owned by City Football Group which is rumored to have paid around \u20ac1M to sign the highly-rated defender from WAFA.<\/p>\n

The WAFA academy is cashing out on players and our giant teams like Hearts of oak and Kotoko should learn about player selling. It’s funny when these two big teams would wait for players at their peak’s contracts will run down and eventually they leave freely to another club.<\/p>\n

Since the government is not doing its best enough to support the league, teams should channel their energy into developing and selling players at a higher price. With this, no team will be indebted to players’ salaries as it was circulating that Kotoko owes their players 2 months’ salary. <\/p>\n

Yaw Annor, who was highly rated and popular was sold at a peanut fee of \u20ac 2000,000 by Ashgold. <\/p>\n
