The Vice President of the Alliance for Accountable Governance(AFAG), Mr. Henry Asante says, President Akufo-Addo\u2019s sacrifices to reduce financial constraints in the country is a mix- of feelings.<\/p>\n

President Akufo-Addo has disclosed that his outfit has cut down 30% expenditures of the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.<\/p>\n

In addition, President has stated that salaries of all political appointees himself are being reduced by 30% while fuel coupon allocations have been slashed by 50%.<\/p>\n

But with this, Mr. Henry Asante expressed skepticism over the measures as they will help reduce Ghana\u2019s economic hardship situation.<\/p>\n

Mr. Asante questioned the legal basis for the President to act in that manner to reduce and cut down salaries of members Article 71 holders.<\/p>\n

He indicated that Article 71 holders accumulated allowance and remuneration are even more huge than the salaries President Akufo-Addo is talking about.<\/p>\n

Mr. Asante was speaking with George Opoku Mensah (AGUDEY) on the Nkwantananso show on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.<\/p>\n
