This situation has brought unbearable hardships to the clubs. Running a premier league club in Ghana involves a lot of money. This hardship is one of the reasons why some clubs fix their matches. It is also a reason for the players to be engaging in betting.<\/p>\n<p>This deal with Betking which is described as mouthwatering will reduce the financial burden on the clubs. According to sources, the GFA is currently in talks with Betking to take over as the headline sponsor. The deal could be announced in the next few days as negotiations are almost complete according to sources.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/6155f92ec5d249c198d8d468422fb578\"\/><\/p>\n<p> deal goes through, the Ghana Premier League will become the second league to be sponsored by Betking on the continent. Ethiopia is the first as they have been enjoying this sponsorship package since 2020. In the recently ended 2021\/22 Ghana Premier League season, title winners Asante Kotoko received Gh\u00a2 250,000 ($31,124) with Medeama and Bechem United pocketing Gh\u00a2150,000 ($18,624) and Gh\u00a2 80,000 respectively for finishing second and third at the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>BetKing founded on 2018, is a sports betting and digital entertainment  offering online services in Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Ghana.
