Photo by Getty Images<br \/>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from his Wimbledon semi-final against Nick Kyrgios with an abdominal injury.<\/p>\n<p>The 36-year-old Spanish second seed received treatment on the injury during his quarter-final against Taylor Fritz on Wednesday but pushed through the pain to win in five sets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have tried a lot of times in my career to keep going but it is obvious the injury will get worse,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kyrgios will play Novak Djokovic or Cameron Norrie in Sunday\u2019s final.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Nadal confirmed he has a tear in his abdominal muscle which meant he would not be able to be competitive over two matches.<\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard had practised at Wimbledon away from the media earlier on Thursday but then called a news conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThroughout the whole day I have been thinking about the decision to make,\u201d Nadal told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it doesn\u2019t make sense to play.
