The Minister for Defence, Mr Dominic Ntiwul has said the suffering of Ghanaians cannot be alluded to the number of Ministers Ghana had presently. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister of Defence made this statement in response to the call on the government to reduce the size of it’s ministers.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Mr Ntiwul, the remuneration of ministers are not huge for someone to think that the failure of government to reduce the size of ministers is the reason why Ghanaians are suffering.<\/span><\/p>\n

To him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has almost the same number of appointees as the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) in the past, so any argument on numbers is baseless.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It may not be necessarily the case\u2026Mahama\u2019s government had between 85 and 86, we have similar numbers now, so to pin it [size of government] on the suffering of the masses is far-fetched,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, Mr Ntiwul did not say what those who are alluding the size of government to the suffering of Ghanaians should blame.<\/span><\/p>\n
