The Political Assistant to Dr. Akoto Osei, J.K Owusu Boakye has clarified that the said audio of Dr. Akoto Osei going viral is mischief and that he is unwell and speech impaired at the moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis viral video playing mischief is all a lie, Dr hasn\u2019t made any such comments, it\u2019s not his voice in the audio and that\u2019s not how he speaks.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Owusu Boakye, the viral audio is a plot by some NDC members who have been identified through checks and will be dealt with accordingly.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou cannot engage in such a crime and go scot-free because national security and the police are up and running on cybercrime cases. It\u2019s an NDC guru who sent the audio to a seasoned journalist. For us, we know he isn\u2019t well and is affected by speech.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said the voice and mannerism in the audio is not that of Dr. Osei and that common sense must tell that a person who happens to be a member of the Economic Management Team cannot utter such statements against his own folks of the same party he joins.<\/p>\n
\u201cCommon sense should tell you that first of all he\u2019s the presidential adviser on the economy, secondly, he\u2019s a member of the Economic Management Team with his party in government and a minister so how can he say such a thing.<\/p>\n
Fourthly, he is sick and the situation he finds himself in cannot allow him to do this recording. It\u2019s not true, it\u2019s a mischief.\u201d<\/p>\n
He urges the public to disregard the audio saying, \u201cwith this issue we have to come out and let people know it\u2019s a total lie, where is he to talk about breaking the 8, it\u2019s a lie, please know that the man hasn\u2019t made any statements.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a viral audio, purported to be the voice of the Presidential Adviser on the Economy, Dr. Akoto Osei, he is heard talking ill about the NPP saying they cannot break the 8 and they do not have the men to lead the economy. The audio said \u201cif you\u2019re trying to line up the men we have, about 70% are bullshit, Ofori Atta is not doing a good job, he\u2019s one of the worst finance ministers we\u2019ve ever had. The head of the Economic Management Team, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is also as worse as Ofori Atta. If we sit here and think we\u2019re going to break the 8 let\u2019s forget it, we\u2019re making a fool out of ourselves, were not breaking any eight Ofori Atta and Bawumia are as worse as each other, we have mismanaged our economy, that\u2019s the point, we aid the same thing to the NDC, we have disappointed Ghanaians\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
