He revealed that the New Patriotic Party and Akufo-Addo have been very good to Bawumia and so Ghanaians should know that.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/c347d31d2a9a4dc187a26379eee00060\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nDuring an exclusive interview with Oyerepa TV in Kumasi, Kwabena Agyepong was asked if he thinks Bawumia should be given the flag bearer position of the party because he&#8217;s a Northerner and NPP hasn&#8217;t treated those people good? He then revealed that Bawumia has been treated very good by the party because he wasn&#8217;t a member of the party in 2008 when Akufo-Addo appointed him as his Vice.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/01728e0ccc1844d0b05428dfa57fae0a\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201c As for Bawumia, no one can say that he hasn&#8217;t been treated well in the New Patriotic Party. In 2008, when he was appointed as the Vice of candidate Akufo-Addo, he wasn&#8217;t a member of the party. He was given a waiver by the General Secretary otherwise he wouldn&#8217;t have been vice because the party rules say that you have to be a member of the party for more than 5 years before you can be a candidate or a vice.
