The songstress who had an exclusive interview with Naa Ashokor on Asaase Radio advised that upcoming artists should make their families their priority as they shape their careers.<\/p>\n
According to Mzvee, one mistake she did that she regrets are ignoring her family during her music era some years back. In her words, she said: \u201cDon\u2019t ax your family; make sure they are present in everything you are doing. That was the mistake I made.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause work was so overwhelming, I was not communicating with family. It was just work, that I had to even stop school, that\u2019s how bad it was.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo I stopped talking to family. But I feel like if I had my mum in my ears all the time, I wouldn\u2019t have gone through what I went through,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
According to the musician, it gets difficult along the way and families are a great help in trying times.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey should surround themselves with good people, that\u2019s also really really important because as a musician you are like the whole company. You are like a walking company, everything is you\u201d she added<\/p>\n
\u201cBe patient. It\u2019s not easy because nothing happens overnight. It\u2019s a very tough industry and especially for girls. So if you are a girl trying to do this you have to be really patient or take advantage of you and it won\u2019t end well.\u201d<\/p>\n
