– –<\/span> When the Ghanaian legend Lumba openly stole his work, the singer was disgusted.<\/p>\n When the album \u201cWo Ho Kyere\u201d was published in 1999, Ofori stated that this sad event took place, according to a TV XYZ interview.<\/p>\n He worked tirelessly alongside Daddy Lumba to bring the concept to fruition, but the latter conveniently claimed ownership.<\/p>\n – –<\/span> That the legend, better known as DL, was only meant to appear as a guest artiste is the source of the grief and anguish of this all.<\/p>\n At the age of 18, Ofori Amponsah was Daddy Lumba\u2019s naive protege, excited to be working with such a legendary musician as that man.<\/p>\n – –<\/span> Ofori is now claiming that the album \u2018Wo Ho Kyere\u2019 was his blood and sweat and was supposed to be in his name and not Daddy Lumba\u2019s.<\/p>\n In an interview with TV XYZ, Ofori Amponsah elaborated on this claim.<\/p>\n The decision to give Lumba \u201cWo Ho Kyere,\u201d an album that cost him six years of his life, was something he had no idea about.<\/p>\n When he returned to Ghana after working on the album\u2019s artwork and other aspects in Germany, he realized the concept had completely shifted.<\/p>\n \u201cIt should have been the other way around,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n This was unfortunate because the adjustments favored his mentor, Daddy Lumba, in an unethical way.<\/p>\n
