{"id":1141589,"date":"2022-07-04T15:22:52","date_gmt":"2022-07-04T15:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/07\/04\/no-shady-slop-in-oil-sale-tor\/"},"modified":"2022-07-04T15:22:52","modified_gmt":"2022-07-04T15:22:52","slug":"no-shady-slop-in-oil-sale-tor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/07\/04\/no-shady-slop-in-oil-sale-tor\/","title":{"rendered":"No Shady Slop In Oil Sale \u2013 TOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>No Shady In Slop Oil Sale \u2013 TOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By Ernest Kofi Adu<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has denied allegations that it illegally sold a total of 260 metric tonnes of slop oil in its storage tank to K-Moy Ghana Limited and Petro XP Ghana Limited.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to reports that it sold slop oil \u2013 a mixture of petroleum product, water and solids \u2013 to the two companies without recourse to due process, TOR said, \u201cThe slop oil in question was disposed and sold to Petro XP Ghana Limited and not K-Moy Ghana Limited, and the transaction followed established processes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, TOR indicated that Petrol XP Ghana Limited and Petro XP Ghana Limited have the same directors and that the two entities have been doing business with TOR since 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPetrol XP is their registered name with Petro XP as their trade name, and documents available to TOR conform with documentation at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA),\u201d the statement explained.<\/p>\n<p>It added that TOR deals with slop oil by transferring it to crude oil tanks, Atmospheric Residue (AR) tanks, selling it or using it for tank cleaning during maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe above activities have been part and parcel of the Refinery\u2019s processes ever since its establishment, thus this disposal is not out of the ordinary as being portrayed; especially when there is no crude oil or AR in our tanks,\u201d the statement intimated.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- AI CONTENT END 2 -->\n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No Shady In Slop Oil Sale \u2013 TOR By Ernest Kofi Adu \u00a0 The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has denied allegations that it illegally sold a total of 260 metric tonnes of slop oil in its storage tank to K-Moy Ghana Limited and Petro XP Ghana Limited.
