It was a tense discussion as two law makers from the 2 biggest political parties in the country clashed in the studios of TV3. Yesterday news broke that Ghana was finally going to the IMF to seek financial bailout. Dzifa Bampoe, host of TV3\u2019s The Keypoints presented this situation to her panelists and sought their views concerning it.<\/p>\n

According to Isaac Adongo, the government has finally come to their senses and were doing the right thing. He called for a proper plan to be put down to ensure that the country is brought back to their feet. He boldly rejected the view that it was Covid-19 and the Ukraine-Russian war that has caused the economy of Ghana to stumble. Dr Stephen Amoah, MP for Nhyiaeso however disagreed.<\/p>\n
According to Hon. Amoah popularly called Sticka, the government is doing the right thing by going to the IMF. He noted that Ghana\u2019s problems didn\u2019t start from the NPP but from previous government. He went on to point out that some of the figures mentioned by Adongo are lies meant to tarnish the government. At one point it became a give and take of words between Adongo and Amoah.<\/p>\n

Sticka noted that from the way he is being interfered he will stop the programme. He called on the host to be fair because it was like he had been ambushed on the show by the former and Adongo. At one point the host asked Sticka government has a plan to roll out if the IMF programme starts. Sticka felt offended and questioned why he was asked that question. He explained that he was just returning from the UK so had no idea.<\/p>\n
Apparently, Stephen has a huge following because for the first time this year, the show on Facebook had over 2000 viewers watching live and over a 1000 comments. Most of the comments however targeted Sticka with many criticizing him and his choice of words. Others called on TV3 to stop bringing him to their shows. Check out some of the comments.<\/p>\n
