Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is currently building Africa’s biggest indoor market where it is gradually taking shape in the capital town of the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n

The extravagant Kumasi Central Market Phase 2 will feature over 15,000 shops, 6,500 market spaces to lease, 5,400 cold stores, 800 kiosks, and 50 restaurants respectively.<\/p>\n

It also houses 210 stalls for fishmongers and butchers, 40 livestock stalls, a police station, fire station, post office, and a hospital among others as well as 44,594m2 parking spots for cars and vans.<\/p>\n

The mega project is estimated to cost US $278m and will be the biggest single market in Africa upon completion in 2024. The project is one of the prolific edifices been marshaled by the Nana Addo-led administration.<\/p>\n

It’s in line with the numerous political promises made to the people of the Ashanti Region during the heats of the 2020 presidential elections.<\/p>\n

It will go a long way to house many traders and buyers with the comfort they duly deserve.<\/p>\n
