INSET: Thiago Silva<\/strong><\/p>\n Thiago Silva\u00a0believes\u00a0Brazil\u00a0teammate Neymar should join him at\u00a0Chelsea\u00a0this summer.<\/p>\n Uncertainty over Neymar\u2019s future at\u00a0Paris Saint-Germain\u00a0has grown in recent weeks, with\u00a0reports claiming\u00a0that the French giants are willing to sell him in this transfer window.<\/p>\n Neymar, 30, has emerged as a potential summer target for Chelsea.<\/p>\n \u201cHe [Neymar] has to go to Chelsea,\u201d Silva, who played with Neymar at PSG under current Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel,\u00a0told reporters\u00a0while on holiday in Recife, Brazil. \u201cIf it happens, it would be the best possible thing. I hope it does materialise, but I don\u2019t know anything about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Neymar, who joined PSG in a world record \u20ac222 million transfer in 2017 from\u00a0Barcelona, has played five seasons at the club.<\/p>\n He has been linked with former club Barcelona on several occasions.<\/p>\n Neymar is under contract with PSG through June 2025 but his deal will be automatically extended until 2027 on July 1, according to\u00a0L\u2019Equipe.<\/p>\n Despite winning the Ligue 1 title, Neymar endured a disappointing campaign, scoring 13 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions.<\/p>\n The former Santos star and several other PSG players were\u00a0booed by fans\u00a0after the team\u2019s round-of-16 elimination from the Champions League at the hands of\u00a0Real Madrid.<\/p>\n Neymar has emerged as a summer target for Chelsea.\u00a0Photo by Mehdi Taamallah\/NurPhoto via Getty Images<\/p>\n PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi appeared to send a warning to the club\u2019s stars when he recently spoke about a change of course that the outfit was taking, saying it\u2019s \u201cthe end of glitter\u201d at the club and they don\u2019t want \u201cflashy, bling-bling\u201d anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n Brazil coach Tite believes PSG have played Neymar out of position.<\/p>\n \u201cNeymar is not a problem, he is a solution,\u201d Tite said in a recent\u00a0podcast.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" \u00a0 Neymar.
