He revealed that common sense should have been applied by the Akufo-Addo government.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/83bfbf9291514351abd72c8837d527c1\"\/><\/p>\n<p>While speaking on News File on Joy News, Lawyer Martin Kpebu boldly revealed that it was wrong for the finance minister to account for the Covid-19 funds. He revealed that common sense should have told the government that the proper accounts would have come from the Covid-19 trust fund instead of coming from the finance minister.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/c1ed4ec7cd624e2595542649289953fb\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201c By law, the accounts for Covid-19 funds should be ready within two months after the end of the year. The accounts should have been sent to the Auditor General&#8217;s Office. So what all this means is that common sense should have told the government that these accounts should have come from the Covid-19 trust fund directly. It makes sense. So you don&#8217;t come and give accounts and leave some out. I&#8217;ve heard that they now want the trust fund to give more details.
