{"id":1132881,"date":"2022-06-24T09:57:50","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T09:57:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/06\/24\/50-4-foreign-visitors-consider-ghana-as-expensive-destination\/"},"modified":"2022-06-24T09:57:50","modified_gmt":"2022-06-24T09:57:50","slug":"50-4-foreign-visitors-consider-ghana-as-expensive-destination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/06\/24\/50-4-foreign-visitors-consider-ghana-as-expensive-destination\/","title":{"rendered":"50.4% foreign visitors consider Ghana as expensive destination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/1656064670_234_image_2022-06-02_083934934-696x392.png\"   alt=\"BBC (Getty Images)\" title=\"Ghanaian fans\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image Source: Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Some 50.4% of foreign visitors surveyed by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) at the Kotoka International Airport considered Ghana as an expensive destination in terms of cost.<\/p>\n<p>However, 72.76% of visitors rated their overall experience with \u2018Beyond the Return\u2019 version of December in Ghana 2021 events as satisfied whilst 15.45% said they were very satisfied.<\/p>\n<p>About repeated visits to Ghana, 95% visitors said they will visit Ghana again in December 2022 for events.<\/p>\n<p>Participants anticipate that some changes in the 2022 December in Ghana should include organisation of programmes in other regions and addition of more programmes.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>They also recommended holding programmes conveniently at larger auditoriums.<\/p>\n<p>The 2021 December in Ghana survey interviewed 260 respondents at the Kotoka International Airport\u2019s Departure Hall who had participated in the programme.<\/p>\n<p>About 62% of the interviewees, were females and males 38%.<\/p>\n<p>A greater number (80.6%) of participants were employed.<\/p>\n<p>Millennials in the age group of (18- 39 years) were 73.8%.
