{"id":1131964,"date":"2022-06-23T11:56:39","date_gmt":"2022-06-23T11:56:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/06\/23\/kufuor-hasnt-endorsed-bawumia-as-npp-flagbearer\/"},"modified":"2022-06-23T11:56:39","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T11:56:39","slug":"kufuor-hasnt-endorsed-bawumia-as-npp-flagbearer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/06\/23\/kufuor-hasnt-endorsed-bawumia-as-npp-flagbearer\/","title":{"rendered":"Kufuor hasn&#8217;t endorsed Bawumia as NPP flagbearer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has not endorsed any flagbearer aspirant in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), his office has said.<\/p>\n<p>A statement, signed by Dr. Kwabena Osei-Adubofour, Senior Aide and Spokesperson to former President Kufuor, said Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia\u2019s presence at a <strong>Father\u2019s Day event<\/strong> at Peduase with Mr. Kufuor was misconstrued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis office wants to emphatically deny that any such endorsement took place on the said occassion and bemaons the fact that what transpired has been seriously misconstrued.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The office also noted that Mr. Kufuor had always been open about his relationship with Dr. Bawumia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026He [Kufuor] had always been close to the Vice President and treated him like a true son.
