Dr. Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanteng, are seen by political watchers as the two frontrunners but pollster Ephson says with the entry of the Assin Central MP, the equation has changed. <\/p>\n<p>Ken has been around, and he is in his sixth term as MP, so you should not be surprised if he beats Alan to the third place. <\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ephson explains that Alan peaked 15 years ago and so if you are a delegate and you are aged under 40 years, you might not remember Alan. <\/p>\n<p>Ken, a firebrand politician, has blasted the leadership of the party over what he sees as preferential treatment and outsized attention, two of the presidential hopefuls, Dr. Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanteng are getting from the party&#8217;s leadership. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/9c6a5309557f462981f11763a0ce95d4\"\/><\/p>\n<p>He warned against the toxic political maneuvering \u2013 projecting and reducing the contest for the party\u2019s presidential ticket to a match between the Vice President and the Trade and Industry Minister, describing this as absolute nonsense. <\/p>\n<p>Ken said what was happening was at odds with their claim of being \u201cdemocrats\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou call yourselves democrats, if you don\u2019t want anybody to contest, be a dictator and let us know.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He called for the party leadership to level the playing field for everybody who is interested in the party\u2019s presidential primary election. <\/p>\n<p>He cautioned that anything short of an open, transparent and fair contest will have damning consequences for the unity and cohesion of the party ahead of the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/7fda42960c05432aa2c27c7b1bd13ca0\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Content created and supplied by: KyeretwienanaOseiBonsu (via  Opera<br \/>\nNews )<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<p class=\"copyright hide\">\n<span class=\"content\">    ,  .   ,     .
