Ghanaian business owner Evelyn Mensah has indicated that she quit her job as a pupil\u2019s teacher to own a start-up because she wanted to become a boss.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking on Daily Hustle Ghana, Evelyn mentioned that her dream was to become a police officer. However, she did not get the chance and diverted to a vocational school after completing SHS.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After a year of vocational school, Evelyn set up a business selling finger foods. She revealed that she began her business about a year ago with GHs50.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI started with jolly and bank, but the location was not helpful. So I stopped and focused on only pastries. I sell it at Kasoa Tuba, usually in the traffic. I fry about four bags and sell it within three or four days.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Besides this, Evelyn mentioned that she is available for home service, parties, and other events. Evelyn revealed that it was tough for her in the beginning.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was a little shy in the initial stages, but I got over it. Selling on the streets is not a crime. It is money that I want, and there is nothing wrong with that. No one will give you money if you don\u2019t work, and there are people more educated than me who are hawking too,\u201d she told DJ Nyaami.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cMy mother is my motivation. She is always there whenever I feel discouraged.\u201d<\/p>\n
She encouraged the youth to follow their dreams and learn some entrepreneurial skills. EveMens Kitchen and Catering Services are available to cater to all events.\u00a0<\/p>\n
