Accra-based Guide Radio<\/em><\/strong> 91.5FM,<\/em>\u00a0which commenced full programming a year ago, has held a music seminar dubbed \u201c 101\u201d \u00a0to educate participants on creativity, artiste branding among others.<\/p>\n

The \u201c 101\u201d event is basically what the Guide Radio<\/em><\/strong> team called \u201ca conversation with key stakeholders in the music industry on the overlooked basics and add ons necessary for a thriving music career.\u201d<\/p>\n

It also seeks to guide music talents on how to thrive in the music industry, and discussed pertinent issues affecting growth in the music industry.<\/p>\n

The main focus of the seminar was geared towards pushing Ghanaian music beyond the borders of Ghana, and to create a platform to bring together artistes to explore the future of the music industry.<\/p>\n

Held last Thursday, June 16, at the station\u2019s premises, the event forms part of activities lined up to celebrate its first anniversary, which kicked off on June 11, 2022 with series of activities.<\/p>\n

The seminar is in line with the vision of the station to work to ensure that Ghanaian music stakeholders acquire basic skills in music to enable to them meet the challenges ahead of them.<\/p>\n

The event, which turned out to be an incredible social gathering of industry players, attracted a number of artistes and their managers, producers as well as some of the industry professionals.<\/p>\n

Grammy nominated music producer, Nana Benyin, who has produced for the likes of Kanye West, was among some of the guests who graced the event.<\/p>\n

The panel discussion, held in two parts, was moderated by Guide Radio<\/em><\/strong>\u2019s on-air personalities, Moor Sound and Ewurama Dadson.<\/p>\n

The first discussion saw panelists such as Maxwell \u201cMullar\u201d Adjavon of the iMullar Network, Rahim \u201cSwaye\u201d Muniru of Boomplay Ghana, 3Music\u2019s Ricky Tenneson and Gomski from Crux Global speak on all the dynamics of music streaming and playlisting, sharing vital information artistes overlook or have no knowledge over.<\/p>\n

The second part of the conversation had a lawyer, Kwabena Frimpong Mensah from the Robert Smith Law Group; 3Music Network\u2019s founder, Sadiq Abdulai Abu; Pernod Ricard\u2019s Nana Opoku Kyei and Flip The founder, Emmanuel \u201cMirror\u201d Sedo.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

They spoke on the topic: \u201cPresenting artistes as marketable or valuable products for labels and brands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Partnered by Ballantine\u2019s True , the seminar was supported by Verna Mineral Water, Genet Services, Pep Entertainment, 3Music and DGN.<\/p>\n

The celebration will be climaxed with an event dubbed \u201cWe Are One\u201d, and Funhouse, a party and rave for the Guide Radio<\/em><\/strong> family and friends, with performances from artistes and DJs on Saturday, June 25.<\/p>\n
