Kwesi Arthur told the host AJ Mensah on Kumasi-based Y 102.5 FM that\u00a0a lot of the artists he featured on their songs did not have the means to pay him. He disclosed that he was not bothered because he understood the struggle in the industry because of the experience he had some time back.<\/p>\n
\u201cMost of the guys we put on did not have money or were not financially stable as at the time they requested for features and I understand them because I was once like them. When I started music, I did not pay every artiste for a feature, If I did, I would probably not be where I am now\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
When the artist was asked if he paid all the artists he featured, he responded by saying that he doesn\u2019t always pay but does things in return as a form of repaying.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have not paid any artistes for a feature, it is sometimes a batter. But if you want good services and you have to pay for it, you should\u201d, he explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes I like to be involved in the production asking for certain things to be tweaked and sometimes I just leave it to the producers. The song also matters sometimes\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
