– –<\/span> Meduma, a village in Ghana\u2019s Ashanti Region\u2019s Kwabere East District, was the scene of the tragic tragedy.<\/p>\n After his mother threw 300ghc down the hole while discarding the trash, the 22-year-old crawled down the abandoned well.<\/p>\n Residents say the dry well has turned into a trap since it was abandoned since it was unable to provide water.<\/p>\n – –<\/span> As soon as Bright Owoahene Acheampong, aka Akwasi Broni, fell into the well, he yelled for aid at the top of his lungs.<\/p>\n Neighbours were summoned to the scene after hearing her son\u2019s cries for rescue. The well also claimed the life of a local inhabitant who made an attempt to escape.<\/p>\n – –<\/span> The National Fire Service was summoned by a few residents as things were getting out of hand.<\/p>\n Officers from the Mampongteng police station were able to save the two other victims, however, Akwasi Broni was unable to be saved.<\/p>\n Akwasi Broni was declared dead shortly after the two of them arrived at the hospital.<\/p>\n Checks have shown that the mother of the dead urged him to stay away from the abandoned well before he attempted to recover the 300ghc, but he ignored her.<\/p>\n Residents are now pushing for the well to be covered up after the disaster.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n – –<\/span> – – Attempting to rescue 300ghc from an abandoned well, Bright Owoahene Acheampong, a young guy, met his sad demise.
