When something has been done\u00a0ex-gratia, it has been done voluntarily, out of kindness or grace. In\u00a0law, an\u00a0ex-gratis payment is a payment made without the giver recognising any\u00a0liability or legal obligation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(32, 33, 34);\">Clearly, the act depicts that individual does something out of \u201cvoluntary\u201d.
