We see the animal giving the paw, rolling on the ground, trying to play ping-pong or introducing himself, with short texts. “I became a Collie because I wanted to be an animal,” read one. These sequences show a Japanese man with his Border Collie costume<\/p>\n
Controversies sparkled up on social media recently, where people made several comments. Some unreliable sources circulated that this Japanese man went through surgery before getting what he wanted. However, that was a lie.<\/p>\n
He considered going through a survey to make his dream come true, but his money was not sufficient to settle for surgery. He then used a plan B.<\/p>\n
Read below to find out.<\/strong><\/p>\n A Japanese man spent around 2million yen (\u00a312,480) on a realistic border collie costume because he wanted to look like his favourite breed of dog.<\/strong><\/p>\n The man, identified only as Toko, hired a Japanese called Zeppet, known for creating sculptures and models for films and commercials, to create the costume.<\/p>\n Zeppet reportedly took 40 days to make the costume, as Toko went through several rounds of trials and revisions to get it right. \u201cI made it a collie because it looks real when I put it on,\u201d Toko said in an interview with a Japanese outlet.<\/p>\n \u201cMy favourite is the quadruped animals, especially the cuter ones. Of them, I thought a large animal close to me would be fine, considering it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make a dog out of it.<\/p>\n “I encountered such a condition and made Collie, my favourite breed of dog.”<\/p>\n Below is an image of how the Collie breed of Dogs looks like.<\/strong><\/p>\n A Zeppet employee also shared how his team managed to figure out how a dog’s silhouette could match that of a human.<\/p>\n \u201cThe fact is that the skeleton of a dog can be reproduced on the skeleton of a human. Since the structure of the skeleton is very different, we spent a lot of time studying how to make it look like a dog,\u201d the employee told the outlet.<\/p>\n \u201cIn addition, we collect photographs taken from different angles so that the collie’s beautiful coat can be reproduced and designed in a way that the coat flows naturally.\u201d<\/p>\n Toko posted a video of himself in his costume last month, where he can be seen waving his paw and rolling on the ground.<\/p>\n The YouTuber also posted a few snaps of himself on Twitter, where he poses as a collie.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
