After grappling with COVID 19 for two years, situations seemed to have calmed down when general restrictions on the pandemic were eased. While some people were of the view that restrictions should have not been eased yet, others too thought of it otherwise. However, it seems situations have become quite unfortunate as some more cases of COVID 19 are being recorded this few weeks. The surge in the names have been attributed to the current rainy season we are in now. Addressing the press today, June 9, 2022, the Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Patrick Kuma Aboagye made this known and also spoke about other disease outbreaks.<\/p>\n

He cautioned Ghanaians of the outbreak of Monkey Pox and some cases of Influenza. He indicated that about 12 cases of the Monkey Pox have been recorded with 5 confirmed. According to the World Health Organization, Monkeypox virus is an enveloped double-stranded DNA virus that belongs to the Orthopoxvirus<\/em> genus of the Poxviridae<\/em> family. Below are some symptoms of the Monkey Pox :<\/p>\n

Headache<\/p>\n

Muscle aches<\/p>\n

Backache<\/p>\n

Swollen lymph nodes<\/p>\n

Chills<\/p>\n

Exhaustion<\/p>\n
