Growing up in the North as a Northerner,\u00a0it has always been fun\u00a0,\u00a0several developments the culture and tradition of The areas relating creates a feeling of oneness, usually our elders will say ‘a tree doesn’t make a forest’.<\/p>\n
The North is not only limited to Tamale,\u00a0we have more than 15 Tribes in the Northern part of Ghana.<\/p>\n
Several relations whilst growing up live in harmony till a time one has to fend for themselves, that is where ‘each one for himself,\u00a0God for us all’ comes to play. Several people in the North have to resort to farming at 16years,\u00a0the main source of income in the north,\u00a0fewer markets have been built but more schools,\u00a0it’ll take a long time for one to be economically valuable as you engage in formal education,\u00a0so once you begin the journey of Education,\u00a0how do you support yourself through,\u00a0that is when some students resort to starving whilst some with opportunities resort to mockery, it stretches to the family level and in that instance there are grudges due to imbalance in possession of resources.<\/p>\n
Most people who depend only on farming aren’t favored by the rain pattern,\u00a0this compels them to farm only once in a year,\u00a0those rearing need more time for their animals to grow and as a result will go for some time without money hoping a thief doesn’t steal their animals or a natural disaster doesn’t destroy them.<\/p>\n
Due to the Unavailability of reliable income sources in families,\u00a0hatred and bitterness sets inn because some cannot execute their responsibilities,\u00a0the extended family system to blame,\u00a0without resources some still marry more and produce more children without a reliable source of income,\u00a0the phrase ‘God takes care of children’ is used as communique to cover up for the mess. Polygamy is for the wealthy.<\/p>\n
These ‘many’ children system in polygamy has extended and has made the pull him down syndrome dominate because every woman’s child wants to be above the other even if they’ll use a spiritual means to suppress others,\u00a0the competition of ‘PHD’ amongst northerners which has extended to fault finding in others has become a norm and as a result,\u00a0people declare open hatred for others over their successful predicament or state,\u00a0once you have something small,\u00a0they resort to fault finding,\u00a0some will be like ‘its money rituals’, ‘he is too arrogant’,\u00a0‘he is selfish’,\u00a0‘he cares less about the poor’ et al. One thing that marvels is that such people don’t blame the poor planning of their parents for their condition,\u00a0they resort to blaming others for their condition whereas such people have no hand in their existence.<\/p>\n
I’ll urge urge ‘unsuccessful’ men and women from extended families to blame their parents for their condition and not God or others,\u00a0if their parents were to execute proper planning they won’t find their self in such condition,\u00a0we have some extended families that are well to do due to prudent planning, stop trying to find faults in people who have no hand in your existence. Let there be more economic opportunities in the North.<\/p>\n
