{"id":1113406,"date":"2022-06-07T13:47:01","date_gmt":"2022-06-07T13:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/06\/07\/otumfuo-commiserates-with-former-president-of-cote-divoire\/"},"modified":"2022-06-07T13:47:01","modified_gmt":"2022-06-07T13:47:01","slug":"otumfuo-commiserates-with-former-president-of-cote-divoire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/06\/07\/otumfuo-commiserates-with-former-president-of-cote-divoire\/","title":{"rendered":"Otumfuo Commiserates With Former President Of Cote D\u2019ivoire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<article>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/d4d349b4f8a24571b297cbd62219ec7a\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Last week, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II sent a high-powered delegation of Chiefs and people, led by Kuntanasemanhene, Ogyeabo\u0254 Amankwaa Adunan II, to represent him and Asanteman in Cote d\u2019Ivoire on the death of Nanan B\u00e9di\u00e9 Koffi Marcelin, a brother to the Former President of Cote d\u2019Ivoire, Nana Henri Konan (Kwabena) Bedie.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation mourned with the Baoule Royals of Daoukro, Cote d\u2019Ivoire, who trace their ancestral root to Nsuta in the Asante Kingdom, Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Otumfuo Bofuo, Nana Kwabena Okyere with the delegation stated that there is a connection between the Asantes and the people of Daoukro the reason a powerful delegation was sent by His Royal Majesty to mourn with Nana Henri Konan (Kwabena) Bedie.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201csomething happened and resulted to the Adako migrating and settling at Cote d\u2019Ivoire that is why the King was informed of the demise of their own and because they are his people he also sent us to join them as they mourn to honour him.
