(Photo by James G<\/p>\n<p>Image credit: Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Liverpool have reportedly rejected an opening bid from Bayern Munich for Sadio Mane.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old forward has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield this summer as he has just a year left on his contract.<\/p>\n<p>And now Bundesliga champions Bayern have made their initial move with an offer of \u00a325m, according to the Times.<\/p>\n<p>The bid consisted of a \u00a321m fee, plus \u00a34m in add-ons, some of which were dependent on Bayern winning the Champions League in the future.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Liverpool apparently \u201cdid not entertain the offer\u201d which they believe \u201chugely undervalues\u201d Mane.<\/p>\n<p>They have also not given Bayern a price at which they would be prepared to sell.<\/p>\n<p>Mane joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 and has been a key player for Jurgen Klopp, scoring 120 goals in 269 games.<\/p>\n<p>But he is reportedly keen on a new challenge and has been identified as Bayern\u2019s top target this transfer window.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mane was asked recently while on international duty with Senegal about a social media poll regarding his future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike everyone else, I\u2019m on social media and I see the comments. Isn\u2019t it between 60 to 70 per cent of Senegalese that want me to leave Liverpool?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will do what they want. We will see soon! Don\u2019t be in a hurry because we\u2019ll see this together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But speaking after scoring a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Benin, he added: \u201cI spoke yesterday while joking with a bit of humour and it was everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we\u2019ll stop there. Liverpool is a club I respect a lot. The fans adopted me since day one.
