\n Tamale, June 03, GNA \u2013 Hajia Safia Mohammed, Savannah Regional Women\u2019s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed appreciation to delegates of the NPP for reposing trust and confidence in her by re-electing her to lead the women\u2019s wing of the party in the region.<\/p>\n

She said, \u201cFirst and foremost, thank you for the trust and confidence you have reposed in me. Thank you for believing in me to lead the women\u2019s wing of the party in Savannah Region once again. At this moment, I come to you in great humility, and with deep gratitude to Almighty Allah, who has bestowed this exceptional honour on my modest self.\u201d<\/div>\n
This was contained in statement issued and signed by Hajia Safia Mohammed, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Tamale on Friday.<\/div>\n
The NPP held Savannah Regional Executives elections on Friday, May 27, where Hajia Safia Mohammed was re-elected to serve another four-year term.<\/div>\n
The statement said, \u201cI appreciate every single one of you that stood by me and continue to do same. I remain indebted to the illustrious delegates for the confidence reposed in me. It was a decision well made and I will surely not disappoint you.\u201d<\/div>\n
It said now that the elections were over, there was need for all to work collectively to make the region a haven for the NPP, adding, \u201cWe must eschew self-interest, petty squabbles and unite for the interest of the party. With a peaceful and united front, we will be able to consolidate and sustain the gains made and eventually break the eight-year governance cycle in the country.\u201d<\/div>\n
It said, \u201cIt is my conviction that at this moment of the party in the region, there is the need to intensify broader consultations and consensus building to ensure an efficient, effective and a successful administration of the party in the region.\u201d<\/div>\n
It said, \u201cI am forthright and focused with a strategic vision to see an attractive broad based, vibrant and dignified women\u2019s wing of NPP in Savannah Region.
