On Saturday, May 21 2022 there was a match held between Matiyasi FC and Nsami Mighty Birds. The scoreline was a very shocking one indeed and there was a lot of drama in that particular match. In the bid for promotion into the Provincial ABC Motsepe League Matiyasi FC defeated Nsami Mighty Birds by 59 goals to 1. What was more surprising was that there were 49 own goals in the match.<\/p>\n

A player who was given a red card in the first half of the match was even recorded scoring a goal in the second half of the match. Shivulani Dangerous Tigers who were also seeking promotion to that same league defeated Kototo Happy Boys 33 goals to one on the same day in another match from the same region. This match also recorded seven own goals.<\/p>\n

The region has permanently banned all four clubs involved in the two matches from all football activities, according to the verdict for breaking the rules of the South African Football Association (SAFA). The officials for both clubs have also been suspended from all football activities in the Mopani region for five years.\\<\/p>\n
