Ghana’s record league champions Asante Kotoko extended their lead at the top of this season’s championship with a comfortable win this afternoon in Tarkwa.<\/p>\n

The Porcupines are now nine points ahead of the pack with four matches to play on their part as they chase a first GPL crown in eight years.<\/p>\n

This afternoon, they defeated Medeama SC 2-0 at the Tarkwa Community Park, to establish a clear lead at the top of the stairs as they continued with their search for another GPL crown.<\/p>\n

Asante Kotoko are now nine points ahead of Medeama SC going into the last few matches of the campaign, and, they look good on winning this season’s championship.<\/p>\n

Goals by Andrews Appau and Frank Etouga Mbella handed them all three points as they posted their 17th win of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Asante Kotoko now require four points from their last four games to wrestle the GPL title they have sought for all season.<\/p>\n
