{"id":1101319,"date":"2022-05-27T13:05:01","date_gmt":"2022-05-27T13:05:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/05\/27\/national-security-makes-empress-gifty-ambassador-for-terrorism-awareness-campaign\/"},"modified":"2022-05-27T13:05:01","modified_gmt":"2022-05-27T13:05:01","slug":"national-security-makes-empress-gifty-ambassador-for-terrorism-awareness-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/05\/27\/national-security-makes-empress-gifty-ambassador-for-terrorism-awareness-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"National Security makes Empress Gifty ambassador for terrorism awareness campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Ghanaian gospel musician, Empress Gifty, has been engaged by the Ministry of National Security as a brand ambassador for its terrorism awareness campaign in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The new campaign, dubbed \u2018If You See Something, Say Something,\u2019 is to sensitize citizens to prevent terrorism from festering.<\/p>\n<p>This means any person who notices anything unusual regarding security in a locality should inform the various agencies by dialing 999 (toll free) or using any of the security agencies\u2019 phone numbers or social media handles.<\/p>\n<p>According to Empress Gifty, she is honoured to be selected as one of the Ambassadors to champion the terrorism awareness campaign in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-854854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/gifty4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"990\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>She noted that \u2018See Something, Say something\u2019 is every Ghanaian\u2019s responsibility to safeguard the security of one\u2019s community.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Eye Woa\u2019 hitmaker called on all and sundry to actively partake in the campaign and help rid the country of unscrupulous individuals.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign is in line with the whole-of-society approach that underpins the National Security Strategy, and it is aimed at encouraging citizens to report suspicious persons or activities to enable the State to respond effectively to the threat of terrorism and violent extremism.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of National Security has assured the public of its continued collaboration with all relevant agencies and stakeholders to safeguard the peace and security of Ghana.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ghanaian gospel musician, Empress Gifty, has been engaged by the Ministry of National Security as a brand ambassador for its terrorism awareness campaign in Ghana.
