The Black Stars call-up came earlier than the former one when they played against the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

It is obvious that every squad announcement will bring its own assessment and criticism. The moment a list is revealed, the scene becomes blurry with all forms of scrutiny.<\/p>\n

One player that was least expected to be called is Mubarak Wakaso of Shenzhen FC in China. The player in question has not seen football action this season but has managed to get into the current Black Stars squad to play the AFCON 2023 qualifiers.<\/p>\n

According to Gary Al-Smith, the player got injured serving the Black Stars and there is a need to return the favor.<\/p>\n

He said;<\/p>\n

“Mubarak Wakaso is trending number one in Ghana.\u00a0My thoughts are simple: he – and other players injured on national team duty – are owed a debt of honor to help them get back to form.\u00a0Terms and conditions apply, of course.<\/p>\n
