Carlo Ancelotti<\/strong><\/p>\n Carlo Ancelotti has said he \u201crespects the decision\u201d of Kylian Mbapp\u00e9 to turn down a move to Real Madrid in favour of renewing his contract at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).<\/p>\n PSG announced on Saturday that Mbappe would be staying at the Parc des Princes after agreeing to a new three-year deal until 2025, with the forward insisting on Monday that he had been convinced by the club\u2019s \u201csporting project\u201d.<\/p>\n The saga has overshadowed Madrid\u2019s preparations for their Champions League final with Liverpool, which will be played in Paris on Saturday.<\/p>\n \u201cWith what we have to think about, we\u2019ve never thought about players from other clubs,\u201d Ancelotti said in a news conference. \u201cWe respect everyone, we respect the decisions they take, [and] we respect other clubs. But we have to do our jobs, and it\u2019s clear what we have to think about now, which is preparing well for the final.\u201d<\/p>\n Mbapp\u00e9, 23, revealed on Monday that he had held talks with both Champions League finalists about a possible move, saying \u201cwe spoke to [Liverpool] a bit, but in the end it was between Real Madrid and PSG.\u201d<\/p>\n Madrid midfielder, Casemiro, echoed Ancelotti\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone takes their own decisions. Everyone does what they want in life,\u201d Casemiro said. \u201cIf Mbapp\u00e9 wants to stay in Paris, we have to respect that.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know this [Madrid] is the best club in the world, the best place to live, but we have to respect his decision, his family\u2019s decision, the club, PSG.
