In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, 24th May 2022, PK Sarpong wrote;<\/p>\n

“Philip Osei Bonsu, Sammy Gyamfi didn\u2019t share any official position of the NDC. He only espoused his own disjointed, incoherent and unintelligible views on the raging Achimota Forest Reserve saga.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The gentleman was not on the same wavelength as the NDC in relation to what I describe as the 2013 accord that gifted the Owoo Family some 180 hectares of land within the enclave.<\/p>\n

He began by accusing the current administration of looting lands in the Forest after giving the Owoo Family 361 hectares of the Forest.”<\/p>\n

PK Sarpong continued that Sammy Gyamfi created the impression, at a point in time, that Sir John or whoever has benefited from that system did that after President Akufo-Addo brought the new EI and adding some hectares to the Family.<\/p>\n

“He also said that the ownership of the Forest is in doubt and that he doesn\u2019t believe that the Owoo Family really owns the land. This makes nonsense of what his own party and then Mahama administration did by establishing the fact that the Owoo Family was indeed the rightful owners of Achimota Forest lands.” the NPP writer said.<\/p>\n

“His call on the government to declassify the lands given to the Family is not in tune with his party\u2019s belief, which belief formed the basis for the Mahama administration to conclude that the lands belonged to the Owoo Family and consequently gave them the 180 hectares.<\/p>\n

Sammy Gyamfi was confused as he was on a tangent that contradicted the official position of his party. His party has always held the position that the Owoo Family deserved those lands and that has been the trajectory even till today. He was on Ekosiisen to have his voice heard, that\u2019s all.” PK Sarpong ended his argument.<\/p>\n
