King Promise<\/strong><\/p>\n Afrobeat artiste, Gregory Nii Bortey Newman, better known as\u00a0King Promise, has said he was disappointed over his inability to pick an award at the Vodafone Ghana Awards (VGMA) held on May 7.<\/p>\n \u201cI won\u2019t lie,\u201d he told\u00a0Caroline Sampson\u00a0on\u00a0Asaase Radio,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m very disappointed I didn\u2019t get an award on Saturday.\u201d<\/p>\n However, he said he felt fulfilled performing at the VGMA that night.<\/p>\n \u201cBeing on stage and performing for fans is the most special thing for me. I have no beef with them, that\u2019s why I performed at the event, if it were some other artiste, he\/she might not have performed.<\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, I don\u2019t know what the problem is. I don\u2019t know why I haven\u2019t been receiving awards after nominations on VGMA.
