Mohamed Salah<\/strong><\/p>\n Jurgen Klopp has eased concerns over the fitness of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk for Liverpool\u2019s Champions League final clash against Real Madrid on May 28, by saying the two players are \u201ckind of OK\u201d after being substituted during the FA Cup final penalty shoot-out win against Chelsea.<\/p>\n Salah, Liverpool\u2019s 30-goal leading scorer this season, limped out of the Cup Final after just 33 minutes with a groin strain, while centre-half, Van Dijk, failed to appear for extra-time due to a muscle problem.<\/p>\n Both players walked onto the pitch at the end of the game as the rest of Klopp\u2019s players ran to celebrate, after Kostas Tsimikas scored the decisive spot-kick in the 6-5 shoot-out victory.<\/p>\n Although Klopp said that Salah and Van Dijk are unlikely to play in Tuesday\u2019s Premier League game against Southampton at St Mary\u2019s, the Liverpool manager was more optimistic about the full extent of their injuries.<\/p>\n \u201cI think [Salah, Van Dijk] are kind of OK,\u201d Klopp told ESPN<\/em>\u2018s Alexis Nunes. \u201cI don\u2019t think they will be ready for Tuesday, to be honest. I don\u2019t think they would have been ready for Tuesday anyway!<\/p>\n \u201cBut I think they are alright, it was more of a precaution. Mo felt something, said I could carry on and I had to make a decision, I said no, if you\u2019re feeling something on the pitch, it\u2019s not going to get better [if you keep playing], staying on is not the best treatment!<\/p>\n \u201cWith Virgil it was more clear (sic<\/em>): 90 minutes yes, 120 minutes no.<\/p>\n \u201cBut what a situation, you bring on Joel Matip! Oh my God! That\u2019s really cool.
