\n Tema, May 14, GNA – Mr. Yohane Amarh Ashitey, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, has extended an invitation to members of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GNCCI) to join the assembly to develop Tema.<\/p>\n

Mr Ashitey speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Tema, said the assembly had a meeting with the GNCCI to share the vision of making \u201cTema shine\u201d with them as well as to discuss the business community\u2019s challenges operating from the metropolis.<\/div>\n
He said the need to have corporate institutions play an integral role in the \u2018Make Tema Shine\u2019 agenda could not be overemphasized due to their importance to the revenue base of the assembly.<\/div>\n
The MCE appealed to the institutions and individual businessmen and women to consider supporting the vision in any of the six areas of the agenda, namely education, health, youth empowerment, infrastructure, and greening of Tema.<\/div>\n
Mr Ashitey admitted that their role as an Assembly was to create an enabling business environment, which he said they had started by fixing streetlights in the Tema town center roads.<\/div>\n

He explained that such lights would provide the necessary security and safety for workers and residents who might have to work and close at night to ensure the companies met their production targets.<\/div>\n
He said the four-kilometer meridian hotel enclave roads had been asphalted to give some comfort to business operators and their customers and clients that visited the area to transact business.<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
