{"id":1082622,"date":"2022-05-10T14:21:15","date_gmt":"2022-05-10T14:21:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/05\/10\/ghanas-religious-community-urged-to-embrace-contemporary-technology\/"},"modified":"2022-05-10T14:21:15","modified_gmt":"2022-05-10T14:21:15","slug":"ghanas-religious-community-urged-to-embrace-contemporary-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/05\/10\/ghanas-religious-community-urged-to-embrace-contemporary-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghana\u2019s religious community urged to embrace contemporary technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\n                                                   Akim Asene (E\/R), May 10 &#8211; Ms Lilly Braine-Jesuane, Leader of Akim Asena&#8217;s Moral Entrepreneurial Group, has recommended to the religious community to use contemporary technology to improve their communication and livelihoods.<\/p>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">She said, \u201cdigitalization is a gift from God.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">As a gift from God, she said it was essential for them to consider adopting contemporary technology in the discharge of their duties and performance of religious activities, especially the church.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Ms Braine-Jesuane explained that technological gadgets were interventions that aimed to make things easier for humans, such as facilitating student studies and improving work performance for higher production.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">She also stated that people may multitask, particularly allowing students and workers to combine their studies and responsibilities with religious or church activities.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">\u201cIt is, therefore, beneficial for religious members to reach out to their leaders and co-members for healthy communication and participation of any activities in their absence by the use of phone and other digital gadgets,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">Ms Braine-Jesuane however noted that it was sad that some religious members, rather than utilising technology to their advantage, always create excuses for their inability to use digital equipment and media platforms like twitter and Facebook.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">\u201cMeanwhile, the same people can be assisted by friends and relatives to get internet services when it comes to connecting their families outside their communities through WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">As a result, she counselled every religious member to trust in their faith and think that any obstacles to the use of technology in church operations, whether financial or scientific, could be overcome.<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Akim Asene (E\/R), May 10 &#8211; Ms Lilly Braine-Jesuane, Leader of Akim Asena&#8217;s Moral Entrepreneurial Group, has recommended to the religious community to use contemporary technology to improve their communication and livelihoods.
