According to her, the internationally recognised Sickle cell advocate and a National asset has passed away.<\/p>\n<p>She added that, the family of Professor Kwaku Ohene have requested for privacy and prayer support. They want limited calls and visitations. However they will make a funeral website available for mourners who will like to share some words of condolences.<\/p>\n<p>As an accomplished Statesman, Professor Kwaku Ohene Frempong moved across the length and breadth of the whole Ghana preaching that, Sickle Cell is not a death sentence. As a Sickle Cell patient, he received many recognition of awards from the United States of America Department of Health and Human services.<\/p>\n<p>Ghana has lost an icon. However, we can only express our condolences to the family.
