Even though the\u00a0rate of 1.5% was to affect a transaction of GHC100 and above, some customers claim they were charged despite transacting below the threshold.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Frimpong Danso a member of the GRA E-levy technical committee speaking in an interview on <strong>Peace FM<\/strong>\u2019s morning show \u2018<strong>Kokrokoo<\/strong>\u2019 said the wrong deductions were due to a system challenge.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;With the wrong deductions . . . so far over 128,000 have\u00a0received a refund\u00a0as of Thursday, according to the networks it was part of a system challenge, but a lot of people have had their monies refunded,&#8221;<\/em> he noted.<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-video-container\">\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"yNpeTkJjyX8\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"E-Levy: Wrongfully Charged Monies Refunded - GRA Discloses\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yNpeTkJjyX8?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><strong>Panic withdrawal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Mr. Danso has blamed the panic withdrawal on the long holidays that\u00a0followed the commencement date of the levy.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, <em>&#8220;the panic withdrawal was not only because of the implementation of the e-levy.
