And when I tell them that, they say I do \u2018Afrobeat music\u2019 \u2014 and sometimes, you can\u2019t fight the powers.<\/p>\n<p>People have been programmed to think that you are supposed to do music a particular way if you are an artist. But I am different \u2014 and because of that, it makes many people uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The musician is an indigene of Dzogadze which is a small town in Abor, in the Volta Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>During the earlier stages of his career, Edem spent most of his youth in Accra and Aflao. He completed his primary and Junior High education at the Amazing Love International Schools.
