Desperation sets in when it finds you stressed and in need of love. Sometimes even go to the extent of settling with just anyone, without getting to know them first and thoroughly. \u2022Be with someone who knows what they want:<\/strong><\/p>\n At a time in life, I didn\u2019t know what I wanted. Wasn\u2019t able to detect the phase in my life I was in; was just stuck and filled with confusion. That\u2019s all in the past now. There are some people you can be of help to, when they want to figure things out in their lives, as long as they know what they want. No mind games, just be with you and make a life together. People of such do exist out there.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u2022Be with someone who doesn\u2019t question your existence:<\/strong><\/p>\n This is certainly a red flag. Don\u2019t say that the person would change in the future because of you. In some cases, it does happen but when the person is bent on sticking to that kind of behavior, learn to let go. You can\u2019t be with someone who discourages you to become a better person. You are always abused and treated like a slave because they have no idea what your worth is. You are worthy of a relationship where you are loved. You don\u2019t have to settle for less. Never feel the need to suffocate in a relationship, where there is no love and respect. When someone truly loves you, you don\u2019t have to tell them to treat you right. They would do that without a second thought.<\/p>\n \u2022Be with someone who is aware that disagreements are bound to happen:<\/strong><\/p>\n Yes, this in a relationship is very good. You get to know how your partner reacts to disagreements and how you both can work things out. Most people are afraid to fight with their partners; not abusively though but to not agree on an opinion. They always want their partners to be right.
